You might think that after 15 years of making jewellery, I’d have a jewellery box overflowing with pieces.
Actually, it’s quite the opposite.
I’ve always believed in making forever jewellery - pieces to be worn, loved and lived in for years to come - and that’s very much how I wear my own jewellery too.
So, here are a few of the pieces you’re most likely to find me wearing.
Glimmerings Silver Necklet
This is probably one of the easiest pieces in my jewellery box.
The Glimmerings Silver Necklet has always been a favourite of mine. The design captures the shapes and movement of sunlight dancing across the sand beneath the shallow waters around Orkney’s shoreline.
I love the way the textured silver catches and reflects the light as you wear it. It’s a piece with plenty of presence on its own, and one I find myself coming back to again and again.

Aquamarine Seafoam Ring
I’ve always had a soft spot for aquamarine.
There’s something about that pale, watery blue that feels very at home here in Orkney, particularly against textured silver.
I don't tend to wear lots of rings at once, but I do like combining a couple of different shapes, sizes and textures. Seafoam is lovely for that - the aquamarine brings a little bit of colour while still feeling very easy to wear.

Tideline Bracelet
Tideline is a much newer addition, but one I’ve found myself wearing a lot.
Inspired by the ocean’s gentle crescendo, the design follows the movement of the sea as it builds from a ripple to a roar. I love the contrast between the textured and polished curves, and the sense of movement they bring to the piece.
It’s simple to wear, but with plenty of detail when you look a little closer.
Blue Topaz Pebble Pendant
Pebble has been part of my work for a long time and it’s still a collection I come back to.
The shapes were inspired by the little sea-worn stones you find along the shore here in Orkney; smooth, irregular and never quite the same.
I love the simplicity of the pendant, with just that little bit of blue topaz bringing in some colour. It’s an easy piece to put on in the morning and wear all day, which is probably why it’s remained such a favourite.
Four Pebble Drop Earrings
And to go with it, my Pebble Drop Earrings.
I like earrings that have a bit of movement without feeling too fussy, and these are exactly that.
They’re simple enough for every day and go with just about everything, which is probably why I reach for them so often.
A new addition to my collection
There has been one new arrival in my jewellery box recently.
The Whirlpool Ring
Whirlpool is a design I’ve been working on for a while, inspired by the swirling movement of water in Stromness Harbour.
The stone sits at the centre, hugged by textured waves that follow its shape to create that lovely sense of movement. The ring is available in silver, with an aquamarine at the centre.
I’ve been wearing mine alongside the Whirlpool Wave Ring. I love the way the two shapes sit together, following one another’s curves to create a slightly bolder stack.
It’s our newest piece, but it’s already found a firm place in my own collection.
Looking at these pieces together, there’s a definite theme. The textures, colours and shapes are all inspired in some way by the landscape and sea around me here in Orkney.
It’s where so many of my ideas begin, and perhaps why these are the pieces that feel most at home in my own jewellery box.
