Are all of your materials ethically sourced?

We’re committed to protecting the environment and ensuring our supply chain is ethical at every stage. 

We use recycled gold and silver to reduce the environmental impact from mining and only plate our metals if you really, really want us to, avoiding the need for nasty chemical processes. All of our stones are the genuine article too and responsibly sourced.

We're doing all we can to cut single use plastics and to reduce waste in our packaging. Orders are sent in recyclable cardboard boxes and we've replaced most of our plastic foam inserts with organic cotton pouches. The pouches can be kept and are a great way to store your jewellery long term.

 

Can I have a personal message or name engraved on my ring?

You can indeed, for a small additional fee, though we’re only able to engrave on rings with flat internal bands (which rules out our Andromeda and Nebula stacking rings). For all the others we can engrave up to 40 characters in a Times New Roman font. Engraved rings cannot be re-sized or returned. If you would like to try your ring on for size first, you can pop it back to us a later date to be engraved.

 

Do you offer a bespoke service?

We don’t offer a completely bespoke service, but if you’d prefer a design with an alternative stone or metal or with a slight tweak, please get in touch and we’ll see what we can do.

 

Will you make my old jewellery into something new?

At the moment, we can’t repurpose old jewellery. Sorry.

 

The ring I ordered doesn’t quite fit. Can you resize it?

We want you to be overjoyed with the jewellery you buy from us, so please get in touch if you find the ring you ordered doesn’t quite fit.

While we can resize many of our rings, the nature of certain gemstones and designs means it’s not always possible. However, if the piece is unworn, has had no custom alterations and you get in touch within the returns period, we’ll exchange it for a new size.

For exchanges, we kindly ask for a £5 payment to help towards covering the cost of postage.  Re-sizing enquiries will be priced on an individual basis.

 

Can I buy a gift voucher?

Absolutely. Gift vouchers can be purchased on our website or from our shop. Vouchers are valid for one year and can be used online or within the shop. We’ll send out a physical voucher to the recipient with a gift message, if you wish. We also include a ring sizer and a handy ring size card.

 

How are your items packaged? Do you gift wrap?

All of our items are carefully packaged in branded Alison Moore Designs jewellery boxes and organic cotton pouches. We can gift wrap if you wish and we'll post the order out to you in a discrete cardboard box. For smaller items, we try and post in a large letter package to make delivery easier. With orders over £100, you’ll also receive a small polishing cloth.

If the recipient and shipping address differ, we’ll assume the item is a gift and won’t include an invoice.

I live outside the UK. Will you charge me VAT?

Our website will automatically deduct the VAT at the checkout if the package is to be sent to an address outside of the UK.

 

How are items shipped and when will I receive my order?

We dispatch our pieces using Royal Mail postal services. Items over £150 are sent via Special Delivery and will require a signature. UK delivery is around 2-5 working days and international delivery around 7 – 10 working days. 

We aim to dispatch most of our silver items within 3-5 working days. For gold and custom items, we aim to dispatch within 4 weeks. You’ll find up-to-date lead times within the delivery section on each product page.

If you need something in a hurry or by a particular special date, just let us know and we’ll do our best to deliver within your timescale.

 

Can you deliver to a different address?

Yes! If you’d prefer your items delivered to another address, let us know the details when placing the order.  We can also add a gift message too.  We will not include invoices with packages sent to an address other than the billing address, incase it is a gift.

 

Do you accept telephone orders?

We do indeed. Just call us on 01856 771 511. Our current office hours are 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Saturday. We can also offer any advice required on sizing, stone options or design details.
