Silver Cowrie Shell Pendant

The Cowrie Shell Necklace from our Rockpool Collection is a beautiful gift for those who feel most at home by the sea - a timeless reminder of sun-filled days spent searching the shore for shells. 

Handcrafted in recycled sterling silver, the cowrie shell is known locally in Orkney as a Groatie Buckie and is traditionally treasured as a token of good luck, carrying the spirit of the coastline wherever it’s worn.

Made from recycled solid sterling silver.

The pendant measures approximately 10.5mm tall.

Dispatch times vary depending on the metal of the item you have ordered. Please expect your delivery to be dispatched in the time frame outlined below, although it is often sooner:

Silver - dispatched 1-3 working days
Gold - dispatched 1-3 working days (excluding wedding rings)
Gold wedding rings 2-5 weeks
Mixed metal - dispatched 1-5 days

All items are send it unbranded, discrete cardboard boxes. Jewellery orders are packaged in recyclable branded navy cardboard jewellery boxes and we've replaced most of our plastic foam inserts with organic cotton pouches. The pouches can be kept and are a great way to store your jewellery long term.

Gift Wrapping

You can choose to have your items wrapped in beautiful handmade Christmas paper by East End Press, or from beautifully illustrated paper by Wanderlust.

The ribbon we use to complete our wrapping is ethically recycled from waste plastic bottles, which would otherwise have been thrown into landfill or the ocean.
