Peedie Groatie Buckie Shell Collector Charm Necklace

Inspired by peaceful strolls along the beach and the excitement of finding a hidden gem, this necklace features five tiny, or peedie as we say here in Orkney, cowrie shell charms.

Known locally in Orkney as groatie buckies, each crafted in silver from a shell found on local shores. In Orkney legend, groatie buckie shells bring good luck to those who spot them. 

Worn together, these delicate silver shells capture the charm of the sea and the delight of little surprises.

Made from recycled solid sterling silver.

The charms measure up to 6mm wide.

Dispatch times vary depending on the metal of the item you have ordered. Please expect your delivery to be dispatched in the time frame outlined below, although it is often sooner:

Silver - dispatched 1-3 working days
Gold - dispatched 1-3 working days (excluding wedding rings)
Gold wedding rings 2-5 weeks
Mixed metal - dispatched 1-5 days

All items are send it unbranded, discrete cardboard boxes. Jewellery orders are packaged in recyclable branded navy cardboard jewellery boxes and we've replaced most of our plastic foam inserts with organic cotton pouches. The pouches can be kept and are a great way to store your jewellery long term.

You can choose to have your items wrapped in beautiful handmade Christmas paper by East End Press, or from beautifully illustrated paper by Wanderlust.

The ribbon we use to complete our wrapping is ethically recycled from waste plastic bottles, which would otherwise have been thrown into landfill or the ocean.
