Peedie Groatie Buckie Shell Collector Charm Bracelet

Inspired by peaceful beach strolls and the joy of spotting a hidden treasure, this bracelet features five tiny cowrie shell charms - peedie, as we say here in Orkney. Known locally as groatie buckies, each charm is handcrafted in recycled sterling silver from real shells found along Orkney’s shores.

In island folklore, finding a groatie buckie is said to bring good luck. Worn together, these delicate silver shells capture the quiet magic of the sea, the charm of coastal traditions, and the delight of life’s little surprises.

A meaningful gift or personal talisman, the Groatie Buckie Bracelet is made with care in our Orkney workshop and designed to keep a little luck always within reach.

Made from recycled solid sterling silver.

The charms measure up to 6mm wide and bracelet 7 1/2" in total length. If you would prefer an alternative length just contact after purchase to arrange.

Dispatch times vary depending on the metal of the item you have ordered. Please expect your delivery to be dispatched in the time frame outlined below, although it is often sooner:

Silver - dispatched 1-3 working days
Gold - dispatched 1-3 working days (excluding wedding rings)
Gold wedding rings 2-5 weeks
Mixed metal - dispatched 1-5 days

All items are send it unbranded, discrete cardboard boxes. Jewellery orders are packaged in recyclable branded navy cardboard jewellery boxes and we've replaced most of our plastic foam inserts with organic cotton pouches. The pouches can be kept and are a great way to store your jewellery long term.

Gift Wrapping

You can choose to have your items wrapped in beautiful handmade Christmas paper by East End Press, or from beautifully illustrated paper by Wanderlust.

The ribbon we use to complete our wrapping is ethically recycled from waste plastic bottles, which would otherwise have been thrown into landfill or the ocean.
